La Carlota del Monte - Land of Horses

Frontend Developer (Astro) · Kensiweb

Institutional website for an equestrian estate built with Astro and Tailwind CSS, featuring a contact form, Google Maps integration, and a design that reflects the essence of the place.

01. The challenge

La Carlota del Monte needed an institutional website that conveyed the warmth and connection with nature of their equestrian estate. The site had to communicate the experience of being in the countryside, showcase the facilities and services, and make it easy for potential visitors to get in touch — all with a clean, modern design without overwhelming the experience.

02. Creative process

A. Design

I worked on a visual design that captured the estate's essence: earth tones, serif typography for headings evoking tradition, and plenty of negative space so landscape photos could take center stage.

B. Development with Astro

I built the frontend with Astro, taking advantage of its static generation for ultra-fast loading times. Tailwind CSS sped up the design system development and responsiveness.

C. Integrations

I integrated a functional contact form with client-side and server-side validation, and a Google Maps embed to show the estate's exact location on the map.

03. Final outcome

A functional, attractive website that faithfully represents La Carlota del Monte's identity. Working contact form, interactive map and responsive design that works perfectly on mobile devices — where visitors typically search for outdoor activities.
